Is ICAway a consultancy that does Corp to Corp?
-
No, we are not a consultancy or a job agent. We are an educator and career coach. We don't take any part of students' salaries as a fee for our service.
How can our students get into a large corporation without going through a consultancy?
-
It is because we equip our students with outstanding networking skills and a strong career brand. They've learned how to be their own career advocates and presented themselves as a talent for their fields.
What differentiates our program from other career courses on platforms like Udemy?
There are so many more benefits you will get as a member of the ICAway Talent Platform.
-
Firstly, this program includes a 1:1 with Coach Kwan to walk through assessment and build your game plan with a specific timeline and the target date of getting hired.
-
Secondly, our modules include interactive features like discussion forums and assignments. We want to make sure that students understand and be able to implement what they've learned. Throughout the learning process, you won't feel that you're doing your job searching all alone. You will have Coach Kwan as your mentor for Q&As and towards the end of the training, we also have a tool that you can share your job search status with Coach Kwan and you will get the guidance to ensure that you're on track.
-
Finally, we also offer weekly group calls LIVE where Coach Kwan provides job market updates and answer any of your questions LIVE. You will also be invited to our Exclusive LinkedIn Group where you can network with mentors and former international students.
When should I start and how much time do I need to complete the program and what is the average time that students receive a job offer?
-
If your goal is to find jobs when you're eligible for your CPT or OPT, you should start the program as soon as you can when you get to the US. Don't wait until you graduate.
-
You can finish all 7 modules within 4-15 weeks depending on the time that you dedicate to the modules per week. It is self-paced learning with virtual guidance. Once you complete the training, it is time to implement what you've learned through networking and job application. During this implementation phase, Coach Kwan will help mentor and answer all the questions that you have until you land a job.
-
For students who have completed all lessons and followed the game plan and our methodology closely, the average time of landing a job or internship is around 90 days after they have started using a new resume and LinkedIn profile.

If I get a job before my 5-month payment plan is completed, do I still have to continue to pay on my payment plan?
-
We offer a payment plan to make the program more affordable when you cannot pay the full amount upfront. Even if you get a job offer before the 5 months payment plan ends, you are still responsible for your payment. This applies even if you decide to discontinue the program before the payment plan ends. No exceptions.
Who should NOT join the program?
-
If you believe that you don't need to make an effort but becoming a member will give you a new job overnight, this is not a program for you.
-
If you want to be a generalist, not a specialist, this is not a program for you.
By becoming a member, you will get comprehensive steps to build meaningful connections with US professionals, research job markets, and develop your new resume and LinkedIn profile as a specialist, not a generalist.
